The history of ArmorerLink begins with the founder, Detective Joe D. Ganete, Ret. who began his law enforcement career in 1999 at Hillsboro, Oregon Police Department before retiring honorably in 2016.
During his tenure as a law enforcement detective, he also served as the agency’s first full-time head Armorer and Firearms & Tactics Instructor. Among other accolades, he received the officer of the year award twice, demonstrating his commitment and never-ending work ethic.
In his role as head Armorer, he quickly learned there were gaps in process and no law enforcement specific solution was available to fill the needs of an Armorer for managing the daily operations and risks associated with firearm accountability. This need, “the missing link”, inspired the creation of the ArmorerLink Firearm Management System in 2013, launching at the 2014 IACP Conference in Orlando, Florida.
In 2016 ArmorerLink, Inc. was acquired by Ganete Solutions, Inc. (GSI) and became a division of GSI. ArmorerLink continues to evolve, introducing innovative solutions for the law enforcement profession.
